Empurau is a fresh water fish, that is famous for its grandeur and commonly eaten as a sign of wealth. Our empurau comes from the rivers of Sarawak and is wild caught. This fish doesnt have a muddy taste that you sometimes get with freshwater fish like tilapia. This is an oily fish with the best part being the belly. The scales are edible and commonly deep fried.
